S.M.NAGAR HOUSING ESTATE is the largest housing complex in West Bengal. This year we want to serve a section of people which we think remain behind because of their physical inabilities. But in our theme we want to prove this wrong, that it’s not their inability but it’s our mental inability. And in this mission we want you beside us. Our theme for the year 2012 is “Meghe Dhaka Tara”.
This year our puja pandel will be done by the physically challenged persons, yet they are in no way less talented than us (so called normal people). Not only they will create an art piece during the puja, but they will also sell some of their artworks also. Various programs will be organized unlike previous years; where their active participations are the main attraction. We are also trying for solar lights in order to conserve energy.
Last year we have received the best puja prize in Subdivision of South 24 Parganas also the best among the Mahestala Thana Samannay Samity.
We will be highly obliged if you join hands with us in a noble cause during the festive season and show the world that the stars are right here (“Tere Zameen Par”).
This is the 2nd time we are doing theme before we did stick to traditional one. We also did start Kumari Puja on Nabami.
